Chantry Architects we asked to redevelop and extension this period property within a conservation area. The solution was to retain the front of the dwelling, but develop the rear with a large two storey extension that removed the previous ad-hoc extensions and additions the property had suffered over the years, to produce a modern coherent design that transforms the internal arrangements of the house to provide an interior fit for modern living. Construction is due to start in 2023.
